Sunday, September 22nd, 11:00 - 5:00:  Botanical & Fabric Eco Printing

This class is an excellent one to take if you have taken the Eco Printing 101 class or if not, this is a beginning level but in-depth class if you are just learning.    We will learn some techniques for getting plant material to print onto fiber and also investigate mordants and enhancements to the process.  You will print on a silk scarf and also print on paper to take home.

This class is taught by Annie Temple who has been exploring Eco printing techniques for several years, along with natural and synthetic dyes.

Instructor will have plants to choose from, and you can bring your own plant material as well. Plants that usually print well: Japanese red maple leaves , geranium leaves, oak leaves, peony leaves, eucalyptus leaves (these need to be purchased from a  flower market) smoke bush, rose leaves.  Leaves with high amounts of tannin do well. This is a fun, messy class with sometimes unexpected results , a trade mark of Eco Printing!

You must sign up by Friday September 20th after which no refunds can be given.

Students should bring:  an old sheet, wear old clothes and shoes or bring an apron.

Class fee:  $125  + $25 for materials
